I’m pretty much betting you read that title up there and your eyebrows knitted together. Sounds completely ridiculous, doesn’t it? I mean, what kind of lazy bastard needs sleeves on their blanket? Is it so hard to just stick your arms out? Is it so cold where you are that you can’t be bothered with just bunching up your blanket around your arms?
Yes. Actually, the answer is “YES“. Us gamers, people with computers and sub-human arctic temperatures cannot be bothered with those insane ideas of practicality. We need our arms and if our arms get cold we are USELESS! What the Slanket does is give you a ton of soft fleece along your legs and lap, completely covering your body while giving you big and roomy sleeves so you can continue to type at your computer or finish that level in Twilight Princess.
When I was taking the Slanket from it’s thick, plastic comforter-like packaging — I didn’t expect it would unfold to be as big as it was. It was huge! This thing easily covers my entire bed. It’s size: 60″ W x 100″ L with 13″ wide sleeves. Ginormously large, nice and soft with a cute “Slanket” patch on the side — it just fits well in my cold gamer room during the winter.
What I found adorable though, was that they have to tell you what the Slanket does NOT do. Taken from the site; “What the slanket is NOT!! It is not a poncho! It is not a Robe!!!! There is no hole for your head!!!“. Apparently people felt that they should try it as all these things, but being that I’m a person of short stature — I can’t forsee myself trying to walk around with it as a robe and/or poncho. It’s too damn big. So, those people who tried must be amazingly tall or possibly very, very stupid. However, I did wrap it around my back and could wear it as a robe when sitting down, I didn’t truly find it feasible to walk around in. It’s just not possible. Comfortable, but wholly unnecessary.
In conclusion, you probably don’t need a Slanket because unless your winters get very cold - this is overkill. It’s a huge, heat-reserving blanket with crazy sleeves. Cumbersome to manipulate things in, you really must be positive you’re going to sit still for a long time before you need something like this. However, with that said — the damn thing is fun! If you’re sitting down for quite awhile to play videogames and you get chilly, you’ll be tickled to whip out your Slanket and get nice and cozy. With this said: The Slanket has good points and bad ones, see, I would’ve made it a bit smaller for those people who aren’t build like Gandalf and don’t need five-gajillion yards of fabric just to get warm. BUT, with that said, it’s a ton of fun to use when you do need it. Grab one up, snuggle into it and game on.

I can confirm these statements. Slankets are huuuuge and they keep you warm really well. I may not get too much use out of one, but they are just that damn cool I want to get one.
I totally need one of these.
