I know this is far from the usual here at TEK, but with the proceedings going on over at the RIAA - I thought you guys would find this just as amusing as we did. The good people over at the RIAA had been harassing Debbie Foster, a mother of a girl who was caught downloading (but is subsequently underage so her mother was charged instead of her.) files off a peer-to-peer network. Well, Mrs.Foster decided that if they wanted to charge her, they’d need to list all the files she downloaded and when those files were pirated. The RIAA gawked at the Mother’s demand and tried to back-out of the lawsuit altogether. The biggest shock came when Foster claimed she wanted documents of legal fees from the RIAA, to calculate how much was spent in suing her - a claim in which the judge supported and now the RIAA has until March 26th to come up with those papers. This is huge, however - because it shows if the RIAA is spending little to nothing to sue people who download music, or if they’re spending a lot of cash, which Debbie will be entitled to.

“Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam… Whammy-whammy wham-wham
Drum solo!”
Seriously, this is a hilarious attempt by the RIAA to basically extort money from people. RIAA, first rule of the US justice system: Burden of proof is on YOU.
“I call this “Rock Your Body” and in parenthesis, “Till the Break O’ Dawn”.”
Thats a smart lady there. I’m not sure anyone else has asked to see the paperwork.
“Oh baby… That’s rockin’. *cough* That’s good. That’s like poetry.”
“Haha. I like you and I’m not just sayin’ that ’cause you’re a whore, ’cause baby you are a WHORE.”
F’n A, man. I love hearing these anti-RIAA stories.
