Tinkering with TEK 2: Electric Bugaloo

For the next few days, we’re going to be updating on and off and checking through layout issues that we’ve had and I’ve received emails about. So, if you come on here and things look a little muddy, just expect we’ll be washing it all off as soon as can be. We want the experience when reading and viewing TEK to be optimized for the reader, so we’re going to be working on these kind of things from time to time.

UPDATE 1: Our restructuring effort is in full-force, so you’re probably looking at some major differences in the site design as we went ahead and swapped our theme. I’m going to be taking the rest of the evening to “TEK-ify” the components, and hopefully you’ll all have a shiny new technology blog in the morning. After that, feel free to harass us with feedback about things that aren’t working

UPDATE 2: It is officially morning, and as promised TEK should be ready to go. Over the next few weeks there may be some additional changes to TEK’s layout as we continue to integrate some final design elements. As with any site refresh, there may be a few things not fully functional or missing. If you happen to encounter anything unexpected, please let us know so we can address it immediately. Thanks.

UPDATE 3: It looks like we’re having quite a few display issues on Internet Explorer 6. Hold tight, faithful IE6 users, as we get our blog tuned for legacy platform compatibility. During the interim, may I encourage updating your browser to the latest release, IE7 or Firefox 2.
