“Hello?.. Hello!?… You’re breaking up… I can’t…” *silence*
Don’t you just hate it when you’re on your mobile phone and you lose the signal? Well, now there’s no excuse as in the wee hours of this morning the BBC has reported about a certain Mr. Rod Baber, who has successfully made a phone call from the top of Everest. This actually resulted in a dual record, as not being content with just making a call - he sent a text message too.
That’s right, from the top of one of the highest places on the planet!
So now you know for sure - if you get a weak signal, make sure you have oxygen and a Pocket-Sherpa with you. You never know what lengths you may have to go through to let your friends know you’re gonna be late to the pub!
