This is going to sound boastful and honestly, don’t take it the wrong way. I play my Wii on a huge 65″ HDTV and while that might seem terribly needless because Wii doesn’t support HD; it makes it difficult to find spaces to put things. Things like our Wii’s receiver. See, we put it up ontop of the television and when we do that it just falls off and lands behind the huge television. When it’s not falling over and becoming an issue, the fact that I’m ridiculously short comes into play.
Whenever I play (I loom at an ominous five-foot-nothing.) the Wii, I end up having to change the settings so I’m not aiming it up at the television the whole time. Honestly, it ruins the experience when you’re constantly adjusting sensor bar settings.
It’s no surprise that Brando’s Wii Sensor Bar Stand (With Rotate-y Action!) was a necessary evil in this household. Once you apply the sensor bar (You have to remove it from the one that Nintendo provides you. Which will scare the Robot Jesus out of you, for fear that you’ll snap the fragile bar in half.) to the new and shiny white stand, it will be able to rotate a full 360 degrees. This is good because it also tilts down and up for whatever positioning you want to place your stand and so if you’re short like I am, you can tilt it down. If you’re off to the left and not getting good receiver reception, then you can turn it slightly and get your Wii on. Honestly, I don’t see why Nintendo didn’t do this on their own.
While it’s not necessarily something you must have, it does make your life a hell of a lot easier. I recommend it to anybody who is throttling a Wiimote and tired of their Sensor Bar woes.
Welcome
