Out On Safari

Today Apple announced its Safari 3 web-browser has just turned beta. Now that Safari’s officially available to download, it’s flaunting everything its got, and looks good doing it. It’s already turning quite a few heads. Safari boasts faster access with “blazing performance”and “private browsing”. How can you say no to that?

For the first time ever, Windows users are free to use Safari for all intended purposes. Just don’t expect an over-the-top performance. Safari only knows a few more tricks than Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer. One in particular is the ability to “snap” back to specific pages, instead of being forced to backtrack through useless ones. There’s even an individual snapback for search engines. The above mentioned private browsing is of course, a welcome addition for when you’ll want to leave no trace that you’ve been on Safari.

Keep in mind that Safari is still only in its beta stage. There’s still the possibility of impressing users, and who knows? Maybe we’ll be treated to some new features in the near future. It’s fair to say that we’ve all had enough of the pop-up blocker.
