Ever since I heard about Skype, upwards of two years ago - I’ve been fascinated with it’s consistency and clear calls. Until January 1st, 2007, Skype offered free outgoing calls to anywhere in your country for free. This meant you could call cellphones, landlines, whatever you wanted. For a cheap price of $30.00 a year, you could have incoming and outgoing calls with your own Skype provided phone number, as well as voicemail and all the extras. Skype is fast becoming the standard for broadband phone service and for good reason - they’re the best.
The one thing that derailed most people from broadband was the fact that you start off using your PC, rather than a phone. Vonage would send you this kit that you could use, but it was obnoxious and cumbersome to set up. Nobody wants to have to go through all these encryption issues and constantly arising problems just to use a phone. Especially not when you can have a landline and just jack your phone cord in and move on. The advent of the USB phone became a necessary evil when it came to making calls with Skype, because not everyone wanted to deal with microphones and headsets. However, most companies put out such terrible Skype phones that it was almost easier to deal with the microphones in the first place.
Logitech saw that the epidemic was getting uncontrollable and to stem the tides, they created the Logitech Cordless Internet Handset, a cordless phone that plugs into your computer and does all the functions of your landline phone - but for Skype. With simplistic functions, you could easily grab your Skype phone list that was once only available on your PC - on your phone and answer calls with ease, like you would with any cordless handset. The call quality is never compromised, the LCD display is clear and colorful (You can even change your wallpapers and themes, as well as multiple ringtones for the picky owner.) and within a day, it provides more use than you would’ve ever imagined Skype having.
I wouldn’t say just to buy this phone as a toy, a gadget to merely say you have it — this is something that can completely revolutionize the way you use your phone at home. I challenge anyone to get rid of their normal landlines and take ahold of Skype and the Logitech Cordless Handset and tell me that they’re not shocked at the value in quality, price and ease of use. Did I also mention that phone sex operators can’t track your calls with Skype? Let’s keep that little secret between us.
* Skype Certified: Use with Skype™ voicemail, SkypeIn™ and SkypeOut™.
* Separate Base Station: You don’t have to keep your phone near your PC.
* Illuminated LCD: Display contacts list, caller ID, voicemail, call history, time and battery status.
* Added Touches: Enjoy a premium appearance, illuminated touchpad, selectable ringtones—even a beltclip.
* 150-Foot Range: Place the phone where it’s convenient for you.
* Handsfree Speakerphone: Get your family involved, or just get more done.
* Audio Jack: Plug a headset in to make your call handsfree and private.
Welcome

*rushes to make special calls*
You’ve been shamelessly selling me Skype like a used car salesman, so I may have to go and purchase one of these to shut you up.
