I am a whore for anything that makes my handheld gaming a bit easier, as well as a bit snazzier to the human eye. True, it didn’t work so well when I started gluing those ninety-nine cent buttons to it and sequins and sparklies just kinda.. fall off after awhile. The home-improvement route for handheld consoles never seems to go well when they’re DIY jobs. Thankfully, Nyko came around and gave us good quality “flare” to both amp up our gaming and make us look just a little bit cooler.
First comes the Charger Grip Lite, Nyko’s solution for how difficult it can be for some people to keep their sweaty palms on their DS Lite. Not only this, but the Charger Grip Lite, you can turn it on and it juices your DS Lite up so that your game isn’t going dead because you can’t run to a charger right away. True, this means a strange little sticky-outy mechanism that rests on the top, left hand corner above the usual charger slot — but if you can be careful enough not to jack that thing up (Mine already bent on the inside, but I blame that on trying to plug it in with the lights off. I’m an idiot, folks. Now, I have to get my crazy Nate friend to fix it for me.) on the inside, and you’re fine. This thing feels good to hold, even nicer to look at.
Nyko also made some flashy stylus packs (The Pro Point Stylus) that have a blue LED on the inside and that you can plug into your normal stylus slot as well as some crazy big stylus that connects to the tiny spring cord on your DS Lite. Sure, at least one of them is superflous because it’s way too damn big, and you truly don’t need your stylus to be lit up — but why not? I mean, if anything it’s a snazzy little conversation piece that makes people stop and go — “Man, they must REALLY like their DS.”. Think of it as pimping your DS, you know? However, you might still need to call Xzibit to get the true “pimped out” feel. We can’t promise that Nyko will make a simulator for THAT.
Welcome
