Rehoboth Tech’s taking a step toward Bond-like gadgetry with its Irikon Flash Drive. This nifty little USB drive packs and iris scanner capable of recognizing up to twenty individual eyes as access approved. What was that, you ask? Did I say iris scanner? Why yes, I did. The Irikon is being hailed as the first USB flash drive to carry security this cool. The drives come with a rechargeable battery and are capable of up to a 6cm scan range. They also reportedly come in 1-4GB sizes. You might wonder, “Well how long does this thing have to fry my eye”, but it takes just two seconds to process. Currently they’re exclusive to South Korea, and as I understand it, and it may be a while before that changes.
