TEK Support’s Mac Tips: One Finger Snap

As any Apple laptop owner would know, our computers do not come with 2 button track-pad. Instead we get the unique looking one one button mouse.

Like everyone else us Mac users have had to adapt. Whether it’s by buying an external 2 button mouse or ctrl clicking over and obstacle. Today I have a program called One Finger Snap, from the folks over at Old Jewel Software. This is a simple app that goes into your system preferences and basically makes your one button mouse into a 2 button mouse.Basically it lets you sets up your mouse so that when you click and hold the mouse button for lets say 1 sec over the selected item, the right click is activated after that sec. Also it you can just let go after the set time you choose. I recommend sliding it down all the way to 0.5 seconds, so you get that instant feedback just like a real second mouse button.

A note to all you photoshop and graphics app users, its a hit or miss situation in apps like that. So far photoshop has worked great but Illustrator is iffy and biffy. Make your way to site now and check out this application.
