The QuikPod: A Transportable Tripod for All Your MySpace Photo Needs!

Strangely enough, I have a MySpace. I’ve actually had one for quite awhile and while I don’t like pointing that out very often, having one has had it’s perks. There are few things though that I do not enjoy and that is looking through the bevy of awful MySpace photos that we’re forced to peruse when we’re browsing for people in our areas. Pictures are awful and mostly because we have to take the majority of them ourselves. Not all of us are constantly in the contact of photographers that we can abduct and force to snap shots of us in our ugly sweatpants and in the bathroom. QuikPod’s creators seemed to know that we’re all really damn vain and someone better get on helping us do it ourself.

The QuikPod is basically a easily set-up Tripod that you can extend out from the base so that you can hold it yourself, or set up below the base as a Tripod and use the handy timer function. What I appreciate about this is the fact that, personally, I’m a damn busy person. If I want to snap some shots of me having a blast (with whatever it is that I do, mind your business.) then I can just take out the small QuikPod and do whatever the hell it is I please. Being able to easily fit the five-to-six inch pouch in my bag, I can just erect it whenever I’m ready for a shot and be on the way out just as fast I got in. Man, this review is rife with sexual innuendo. I’m sorry, but how else do you want me to word a telescopic tripod?

With it’s pricetag of &25.99, it’s the cheapest and most durable of the tripod line and it’s more useful to a person within the normal point-and-shoot digital camera age. We don’t need something insane to get the job done and who wants to pay those kind of prices when a $25 tripod does the job and does it just as well? You don’t. Not only do I urge you to get one if Photography is your thing, but I urge you to get one for those friends of yours that take those hideous damn MySpace pictures. Remember, give a man a fish… he eats for a day. Give a man a pole, he eats for a lifetime.
